Marty Becker D.V.M, Gina Spadofori, Carol Kline and Mikkel Becker are all either health care providers for cats or otherwise knowledgeable experts in their field. They have put together a truly wonderful homage to our feline friends.

The first section of The Ultimate Cat Lover is filled with poignant tales of fabulous, feisty, finicky or fun-loving felines, lovingly written by their people. Meet Motley as he helps a woman overcome the loss of her fiancé. Read a moving story about George and Gracie, littermates who are inseparable for twenty years until the day Gracie guides her dying brother over the Rainbow Bridge. In Prayers for BB, a little deaf boy sends out daily prayers for the safe return of his beloved companion. And in Just Do It, a diabetic cat helps a woman overcome her fear of needles and surgery.

There are plenty more stories for your reading pleasure, short tales that will make you smile, laugh and cry. Charming, full colour photos complement the stories and capture kitty in all her moods, from frisky to sedate to full out snooze mode. The final fifty or so pages are filled with Must Know Info that runs the gamut from 'picking out the purr-fect kitten or cat' to 'solving litter box problems' to 'cracking the code of your mysterious feline' to 'from a cat’s-eye view: what people do to annoy us'.

As a confirmed cat lover, I'm always on the lookout for new books about my favourite furry friends and this latest homage to the cat is a real gem. Whether you want a copy of this fully loaded book to add to your own library or you need a last minute stocking stuffer for a cat-loving relative or friend, The Ultimate Cat Lover is the purrfect solution.
