Poetweets from Woodland Canada - Summer Frolics By Hilary Williamson (October 2017)
Seasonal verses (that I dub poetweets in this age of universal attention deficit) - Winter Blues, Spring in the Air, Summer Frolics and Fall Glory - being written for fun and also in honour of Canada's 150th birthday this year:
Time to dive, The lake's alive
A heron flight What a sight!
Ducklings rock Our swimming dock
Dragonflies mate - They double date
Paddles groove Ripples move
Beavers build, Low lodges gild
Flowers bloom Treetops loom
Time to bike, Time to hike
To spot a deer Who shows no fear
To watch the sun, Sad summer's done
