I've been a reader for as long as I can remember. Reading while doing anything was my specialty as a child. My mom wasn't too thrilled when I read while doing chores (not impossible, just difficult), but she was pretty easy-going about my tendency to read after bedtime with a flashlight under the sheet. Fireflies, by the way, don't give off enough light no matter how many you catch.
I live in Round Rock, Texas, with my husband and a menagerie of cats, dogs, and birds. Herds of deer frequently stop by to snack on garden plants and steal cat food off the front porch. When not reading or writing I like to travel and take walks with my Siberian huskies. My favorite trip was two weeks spent in Beijing, China.
